Find Psychiatric Hospitals and Medical Centers in Utah

Psychiatric hospitals are medical centers that support a behavioral health unit or similar inpatient and psychiatric treatment services. Some of these hospitals have advanced treatment centers that offer specialized services, innovative programs, and/or experimental treatment protocols. Others provide essential behavioral health services in an inpatient setting. Most hospital-based services offer medical stabilization that generally lasts between 1-5 days, though longer stays are possible in certain circumstances. Residential treatment centers, in contrast, offer inpatient services that typically last weeks, months, or a full year. (Some of both kinds of facilities also offer day treatment and other outpatient/inpatient hybrid treatment programs.)

There are several psychiatric hospitals in Utah that serve as treatment centers for psychiatric problems and other inpatient mental health services. But for emergencies, forget the research and call 911. Or for immediate, non-emergency assistance, we encourage you to contact the 24-hour CrisisLine at 801-587-3000. With this in mind, here is a list we’ve compiled that includes a brief summary, contact info, and geographic region.
